Why Sniff Safaris?

Dogs possess heightened sensory capabilities compared to humans. They have a natural drive to leave scent markings, which serve as a message to inform other dogs about their previous presence in a particular location. Our "sniff safaris" are meticulously designed and placed to establish small communication hubs for ALL animals. This initiative can be likened to a form of canine newspaper, as it allows dogs to gather information regarding their surroundings. Each sniff safari is intentionally curated to create these scent-based communication platforms within the adventure for dogs, fostering a deeper understanding of their environment, and giving your dog the outlets they instinctively desire. This gave us confidence on staring the first "Fence Free Facility" in the dog industry. That's right, NO FENCES. We want to encourage a place where your dog can be a dog and flush a bird or sniff out a rabbit den in management land.

Impulse control

During your safaris, you will have the opportunity to meet a variety of friendly visitors, enhancing your overall experience! We have meticulously designed a biodiverse wildlife hub dedicated to getting pets and their parents on wildlife encounters such as deer, rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels, etc. This setting not only offers exciting interactions but also serves as an ideal platform to cultivate impulse control and enhance engagement skills.

Mental Stimulation

In the development of walking trails, wildlife hotspots are also created. These enclosed spaces are designed for dogs and their owners to engage in a safe and enjoyable environment for exploration and controlling impulses upon finding possible prey.

The underlying objective is to allow dogs the freedom to explore freely, allowing them to familiarize themselves with their surroundings and the presence of other animals.

Confidence Building

During the safaris, strategically positioned obstacles are incorporated to enhance and strengthen a dog's confidence. Each trail offers opportunities for the dog to jump over logs, traverse under branches, walk across bridges and brooks, and weave through trees. The design of each safari trail is intentionally progressive, increasing in difficulty as one ventures deeper into the property. This gradual progression is aimed at effectively building a dog’s confidence throughout the experience.

Socialization

While participants engage with the safari trails, they will also encounter other pet owners who share a similar objective of developing confidence and strengthening bonds with their pets. Socialization among dogs is encouraged, although it is not mandated during these sniff safaris. We recognize that some individuals prefer to walk or run their dogs independently for focused one-on-one bonding time, while others seek the social aspect of interacting with fellow dogs and pet owners, creating new connections within the community.

Safety and Surveillance

Participants are granted access to an AirTag compatible with both iOS and Android platforms-Free. All dogs must be (E)leashed during the safaris. Our commitment is to maintain the highest standards of safety and security throughout your adventures. The objective is to allow dogs the freedom to explore and engage in outdoor activities while ensuring a secure environment. Over Two Dozen proximity/deterrent devices, in combination with Flir Systems, alongside two DJI SAR drones are currently being utilized at this facility. This ensures comfort for pet parents that they always have multiple eyes on their dog and return safely home with them, and unwanted encounters with unfriendly wildlife are effectively mitigated, prioritizing safety above all.
